I would say it looks Italian rather than Spanish but the spelling is incorrect. It was probably changed over the years and spelt as it sounded as there are no Janzeminis in Italy. Don't you have any other clue on your ancestors? At least where they lived in US....

no i have no other information on the surname, thats the biggest problem with my search, it is such a rare surname that it could be italian/spanish and a native from the either countries wouldnt know it

If you do a Google search it looks like it may be from the Middle East based on the first names [Mehrdad, Shekoufeh, Mahmood as examples] that come up with Janzemini as the search word.

yes haha they are my family members lol, you see my family are persian by origin but this surname isnt common there, reason being i think it could be italian/spanish is that i found somebody on facebook with the name "janzemin villalobos" in spanish speaking countries the first names are usually spanish thus my hunch for it being spanish, reason why it could be italian is i found somebody else with the name janzemini from a famous lake in italy, this is why i presume it is one of the two, or just persian

It does not appear with a search of www.paginebianche.com [Italian White Pages]
