A few years back I was fortunate to receive some pages of the Catastini for Corato, Provincia di Bari from 1754....a gentleman on the BariGEN group offered to provide digital copies when he went to the Provincial Archivio to do his own family. I have not done much with them as they are difficult for me to read as my Italian is limited and I am not really sure how they will help me "connect the dots" to other family members in my tree. I was hoping that someone could translate them and also help me understand how I can use the data. I have traced my Paternal line back to about 1750, but I have been blocked by the Churches in Corato from obtaining earlier data....your help will be greatly appreciated.....I am interested in anyone with the Cognome MISCIOSCIA.......my family names are Francesco (GF), Cataldo (GGF), Francesco (GGGF) and Pasquale (GGGGF).

Thanks Luca.....I appreciate your help and rapid response......

Now I need to see if I am connected to anyone and how I can use the information.....Perhaps Francesco is an ancestor....My GGGGF was Pasquale and his son (my GGGF) was named Francesco.....I don't know Pasquale's parents (he was born circa 1750 and died circa 1803)....so far I have not seen the names BENEDETTO, MATTEO, MAURO or NICOLA in any later generations of family members.....there are really no other "data points' to connect them.....
