Hello.

I just started researching my family history and it has brought me to Simbario, Italy.

This is what I know from matching up information from my mother and using Ancestry.com's census records and ship logs.

Filomena Perino born Simbario born about 1877.
Married Vincenzo Andreacchi born May 1877 (originally from Simbario or Roccomontepiano per ship record) and immigrated to New York 1890's.
His mother is Caterina Speziale? Father? Some connection to Seniti or Ceniti, maybe his grandfather is a Ceniti or Seniti?
Children born of marriage: Antonio Andreacchi, born about 1900 in Simbario and Giovannia Andreacchi, born about 1901 in Simbario.

Filomena arrived around Nov 17, 1905 on the ship Konigin Luise from Naples, Italy to meet husband Vincenzo Andreacchi, 199 Canal Street, NYC.

1910 Census, shows them living at 52 Carmine Street, Manhattan. I don't know what happened to Filomena?

Because in 1913, Vincenzo marries Filomena's sister, Catherine/Catherina Perino born in Simbario? in January 1886.
She had immigrated to New York in shortly before, rumor has it to marry Vincenzo. From that marriage, they had several children, including: Michael Salvatore Andreacchi 1914, Michael Joseph Andreacchi 1918, Filomena Pearl Andreacchi 1921 all born in Brooklyn, New York. Several others passed away.

So... I am looking for information on the Perino sisters and would love to know who are Filomena's and Caterina's parents?

Also looking for information on Vincenzo Andreacchi and his siblings, ship records show Vincenzo and family staying with brother, Salvatore at 174 Hester Street in 1909. Salvatore has a brother in law, Fransisco DiNardo, same 174 Hester address, where he is staying with son of Rocco Perano, Michele Perini.

On ship records from 1909, Vincenzo's mother is identified as Caterina Speziale. Rumor has it that Vincenzo's father or grandfather, was a Don Antonic Seniti or Ceniti?

Are their any records of Vincenzo having other children prior to the Perino's or if the Perino's have other siblings? Would love to know more about Speziale, Vincenzo's mother and beyond.

My grandmother is Pearl Andreacchi, my mom is the daughter of Pearl.

Please help me or tell me where to look and who to contact in Italy for records. Thank you!

Hi and welcome to Gente. Just so happens you're in luck because I have all of the films for Simbario and will be happy to look up whatever records you need. My family is from Brognaturo, Spadola and Simbario. I will be going to my center next week and will post back with the images or you can send me a private message with your email address and I will email to you. And the surname is Ceniti (pronounced Cheh-nee-tee) but many americans spell Cenite and prounounce it as (Sa-net or Sa-net-ee). I'll look back over your post later today and see if I can help with other documents.

Glad to see you post and looking forward to helping out.
