I have started writing a story about my family history here is a

Marty I'm not sure if this will help you but a while back I bought I a book written by Cyndi Howell (Cyndi's List) called Planting Your Family Tree Online: How To Create Your Own Family History Web Site which I found pretty helpful. Since it was old it was fairly inexpensive too which helped.
