I have been in contact with a gentleman (Giuseppe) from Italy who thinks he is related to us through my grandfather's family. He has a family tree which lists my Grandfather's name (Filippo Scordino) as the son of an Antonio Scordino, from Reggio Calabria. In addition he lists my Grandfather's siblings as Francesco, Domenico, Catarina, Grazia, Giuseppe, and Michele. I met my Grandfather's brother Michele when he lived in Thorold, Ontario, Canada, but I don't recall meeting any of his other siblings. I know my dad and his family were born in Bianconovo, Reggio Calabria. Giuseppe lists my great Grandfather as Antonio and my great Grandmother as Mariantonia Macri, and their children's names as I have above. I don't know if my great Grandfather's name was Antonio and if his wife's name was Mariantonia Macri. This is the first time I have heard the name Macri in our family, but I have no way of knowing if this is true. Any help in this regard would be much appreciated, Grazie!

Thanks Formthe info Biff. However, I need to see what further information I can find on the Macri surname as it appears that she could be my great grandmother. Thanks again for your help.

Have you written to the town requesting a copy of Filippo's 1883 birth record and/or his and Virginia's 1905 marriage record? Either one of these will list his mother's maiden name.

Biff

Thanks again Biff83, I will try to find the address for the town hall in Bianco to get that information as you suggested.
