Hello Everyone:
I just sent out two letters to the civil record officials in Sant' Arsenio and Trentinara! Hoping to obtain the Family History on both the Terranova and Bernarducci families. Had help from a friend to compose the letter in Italian, he advised NOT to send any money, request that they e-mail me advising of all costs. Anyone have experience with payments to Italy?
Also found my Grandmother Caterina Flora's marriage certificate from Holy Rosary Church in Jersey City. I now have her parents names! Giuseppe Flora and Angelina Pica. Still have to get the burial, census and vital statistic records for everyone, but I am excited. I am actually making progress. Never thought I would be able to locate info on all of my Great Grandparents so quickly. Thanks for your assistance, Carol

Thank you: I am waiting for a distant cousin to arrange a day to go to the cemetery where most of my Grandparents and possible Great Grandparents are buried, Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City, some are in Jersey City/Harimus Cemetery. Still not sure if GGP stayed in NJ or returned to Italy. Counsin has info on the location of some of the plots, multiple burials in each plot, and we know who each person is. Also need to travel to Vital Statistics in Trenton to obtain the birth & death certs, as Hudson County cannot issue them. I have a lot of work ahead but the journey is enjoyable.

I do not have any info on Angelina Pica, just discovered her name last week, my mother could not remember, she is 86. Mom does remember that Giuseppe Flora and Angelina Pica resided in their own apartment, so I am assuming that they died in Jersey City.

hello Nuccia; Thank you for the info. I have seen this census page. The question is that my Grandmother Caterina Flora married my Grandfather Joseph Terranova in 1913, that would make her much older that the possible siblings listed on this census. Joseph Flora and Angelina Pica-Flora are my Great Grandparents and the ages on this census seem to be too young. I have no record of Caterina Flora having a sister named Rose, only Tony and Mary. My mother was born in 1922 and she was not older or of the same age as her Aunt Mary Flora- Cappola. My records shows that Caterina Flora was born May 16, 1892, this census record may be of a cousin but surely not her parents. Thank you
