Before I was ready to write letters to people with my family surnames, I was surfing around and found a phone book listing with people and I believe a law firm with one of the names.

I thought I used PagineBianche. I am all set to write the letters and can't find any this time. I also tried Pronto.

Any ideas of what I might be doing wrong here? I key'd in the name Tomaino and Pianopoli in PagineBianche.

You need to put the surname where it says cognome then hit cerca. I started you out with your first surname and here is the link

Thanks, Elizabeth. I followed your link. It is actually where I already was. Based on this, there is not a single Tomaino in their hometown, and I thought before when I looked that there was. I must have been mistaken. I appreciate your time.

Try leaving the town name blank. The Calabrese people often moved around a lot. You may find some people in nearby towns.

Here's a link to Mary Jo Loyd and Sam Tomaino's site. They've indexed all the records from Decollatura from 1810-1860 and are familiar with the surnames in the surrounding areas which include Pianopoli. You might try emailing them to see if they have any information. The email button is at the bottom of the page. Mary Jo's ancestors settled in Carbondale PA, same town my grandparents settled in.
