I have a photo of my grandfather Constantino Giovanni Basso in a Italian Army uniform from WW1.

I am trying to fine what regiment and military records he has.
We were told he was in the Italian Cavalry.

Born 11 Sept 1884 at Monta Padova provance of Vicenza.

He lived at Montegaldella province of Vicenza.

I have emailed Riccardo and he will hopefully be able to give you an address of where you can write away for his military records. This should give you the information you need to know.

For sure you can write to Archivio di Stato di Vicenza, his military record is there
send an email, written only in italian to Vicenza State Archive
