I am searching for my grandfather (see subject) and grandmother(Paulina Tedesco) I cannot find birth or marriage records for them in Italy. They were born in 1881 and 1886 ,, not sure of town.

Nearest relative in Italy--father of Rocco, Bruno Morabito in Villa San Giovanni
Destination--Thomas, West Virginia to join Rocco's brother Filippo
Rocco previously in US. My guess is he returned to Italy, married and then emigrated again with his family. Likely place of marriage would be in Villa San Giovanni since wife Paola was not in the US before.

To Biff--thank you ,,thank you,, for the infor on Rocco and family. I have searched and have hit so many stone walls. My father,,Rocco's son ,,could not remember much. He was the 3rd oldest of 13 and the 3 youngest were not born when he moved to the Adirondacks of NY. I have so many regrets that I did not listen more closely or write more down.
I was able to get the 1910,20 and 30 census. Also went crazy doing ship manifests!!! So many Rocco Morabitos!!! I was told by one of Philip's (Fillipo) grandson's that 3 brothers came here together--Rocco,Filippo, and Joseph(Guissepe) but have not been able to find that.

Destination: Blairsville PA to join brother in law Antionio Lagana or Lagano.
Rocco previously in US 1900-1904.

I'll see if I can find Rocco's earlier manifest or one for the other brother Filippo.

Another later (1907) manifest for Rocco and Giuseppe. Lines 5 and 6. Travelling with lines 7 and 8, two Tedesco brothers. Destination Blairsville PA to join brother Filippo.

Hi Bif again--thank you for more good news!! The brothers-in-law Tedesco rings true as that was my grandmothers maiden name as I mentioned. The other in-law is unknown. I did learn in November-from the cousin in Maine that the "boys" had a sister Cosima(not sure of spelling) I found a possible but age and location did not seem to fit.

Now that you know the name and town where your grandfather was from, you need to write to San Giovanni to request the acts you need.
