I am looking for Guiseppe Esposito who was born 24/25 July 1884 in Italy. He married Rose Volipicelli abt 1905 in Italy. They immigrated to the US abt 1910. Guiseppe was a butcher and they lived in Manhattan and the Bronx, NY.

According to the US Census, they became US citizens after 1930.

I have not been able to find immigration records for Ellis Island or Castle Garden, NY.

I would like to find birth and marriage records for this couple.

It is possible they were from Marigliano but that is just an educated guess.

I started looking through the Ellis Island website but need to head out for work. I would check the spelling of the name Giuseppe. Here's a quick list I found - is it the same as the one you located?

I had not looked for the spelling - Giuseppe. It looks like he might be the person from Monte d'Pracida. I am positive of his birth date - 1884.

Yes, this is the Esposito I was looking at. I do not see his wife, Rosa so I don't think this is the Giuseppe I am looking for. They both immigrated in 1910 accordingi to the census. And they were married about 1905. Her maiden name was Volipicelli.

Don't believe everything the census says. Lets see if we can find a ship manifest for her.

And theres always the possibility that although they both arrived in 1910 they came separately. This happened frequently.
