I'm here again to ask for help!

I discovered that my great-grandfather James Drake had a brother, John who supposedly was born in Dublin

I have a copy of John's Drakes will dated 25 Dec 1853 and I see that there are 6 results in the ancestry collection "Dublin, Ireland, Probate Record and Marriage Licence Index, 1270-1858", but I have no access to the actual records...

James and John also had two sisters, Maria who married O'Neill, and Matilda who married Brady.

I would also know if James Drake is in the Liverpool Census for the years 1881 and 1891. I know that in the 1890's he lived in 127 Grove st Liverppol with his wife Jane and a daughter , Edith.

In addition to asking somebody with an Ancestry membership to look up records, have you checked www.familysearch.org? They have some British censuses (though to see the images, you must be a member of findmypast.co.uk), and some Ireland records. Their British Isles collection is found at www.familysearch.org/s...TISH_ISLES

The census transcriptions might at least help you locate the family.

I forgot to say that James Drake was born 1819, in Dublin.

Unfortunately none of the 6 John listed seem to be my John Drake. I was hoping to find a Probate. I also have the 1871 Census, James Bianco found it for me about 4 years ago!
