#1: Church Records Author: tjbrn, Location: North CarolinaPosted: Fri Apr 18, 2008 4:24 pm ---- I just received some records from a church that closed in 1932. The records from Our Lady of Good Counsel in Philadelphia, PA were transferred to Saint Paul Parish where they are currently maintained. While I can decipher most of the information, I'd like a second opinion from the experts. The first image combines two different records. img261.imageshack.us/i...192st7.jpg

I assume the use of Latin with the given names was standard for records of baptism in the Catholic Church. I was expecting a little more information although I realized Our Lady of Good Counsel Church closed in 1932. I did notice that the sponsors or godparents of Giuseppe Dragotto were my grandmother's sister and her husband, the Morello's.
