The line about Angiola is a bit hard for me to read but it confirms she is deceased..amazing what I can see now that it s daylight...

Heres what I have so far...

I'll try and translate the rest but I guess it means that Angiola died in the same office, maybe last April?

So Angiola Chiapetta must have been his first wife. Interesting...I wonder if they had children? It seems we would need the records of San Vincenzo La Costa to find that out.

This forum is absolutely wonderful!

I guess I was thinking that Angela Chiapetta was Diego Filippo's first wife. A while back I saw her listed on FamilySearch.org as his wife. But I guess those records are not that dependable? Maria Stella Zingone is also listed as his wife there.

I wish I could read that handwriting!!

Marie, I think you misunderstood us. Angiola Chiapetta was Diego's first wife who died the preceding April before this marriage bann. The document does state those facts at the bottom. Do you know if they had children? (I'm just curious) I think Nuccia translated everything that was at the bottom of the page. Maybe Nuccia can confirm this? I would assume she died in San Vincenzo La Costa? Wouldn't you think so? By the way, I added more Pubblicazione records on my site. Very Happy Who knows, you may find another relative!

Cathy and Marie..

While its not 100% word for word, it is enough that you can understand whats going on..

The Vital Records Officer issues the copies of the birth acts of the "sposi" and the death act of the previous wife. The persons mentioned are the ones appearing(or rather, are present during this time). I think thats the long and short of it.unless I missed the dates of the births and death of Angiola..I'll have another look later on when I get back from work.
