I snagged tickets a few months ago to Vans Warped Tour music festival near Boston (Tweeter Center in Mansfield, just south of Boston). 63 Bands, starting at Noon and letting up somewhere around 930pm. It was one of the most amazing shows I have ever attended... Here are the bands that played: (My favorites are in BOLD)

A Static Lullaby, All Time Low, Amber Pacific, As I Lay Dying, Bad Religion, Bayside, Biffy Clyro, Big D and the Kids Table, Bleed The Dream, Bless The Fall, Boys Like Girls, Chiodos, Circa Survive, Coheed and Cambria, Cute Is What We Aim For, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Envy On The Coast, Escape The Fate, Evaline, Family Force Five, Flogging Molly, Gallows, Hawthorne Heights, Hot Rod Circuit, IainTerry band, Ill Scarlet, It Dies Today, Jonzetta, K-OS, kaddisfly, Killswitch Engage, Maylene and the Sons of Disaster, MC Chris, Meg and Dia, Monty Are I, My American Heart CA, New Found Glory, Paramore, Parkway Drive, Pepper, Poison The Well, POS, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Revolution Mother, So They Say, Still Remains, Street Drum Corps, The Almost, The Confession, The Fabulous Rudies, The Fold, The Matches, The Rocket Summer, the spill canvas, The Starting Line, The Toasters, The Unseen, The Vincent Black Shadow, Throwdown, Tiger Army, Underoath, Warped Tour

8 stages, new band on every half hour... signings, free CD's, Tshirts....

I only got to watch about 10 bands play, but the timing worked out so that I only missed one I wanted to see.

AMAZING! and I got to meet one of my favorite bands and have them sign a sticker I bought...

I am still on cloud 9 right now... best.show.ever!!!

just saw Simy's post on her recent concert, and wanted to share my exiting day yesterday..

Since I bought the tickets in April I had much time to give notice, and used my last two vacation days (I'm off today also). My vacation days renew again September 1st so it's all good.

And seriously, hands down this was the best show I have ever been to, and since I am constantly hitting shows that says heaps!

Very Happy

Hey..I took two vacation days off too ... wish I had been able to go too. I love to go to concerts. I missed so many when I was younger since my parents were too strict so I have a lot of time to make up for.

Oh and what I wouldn't give to go dancing too!

WOW Jim - sounds like a great day out! You need more of those. That's a lot of groups!! Now I rerally feel old - I don't know one of them Shocked . When did I become my mother?!!
I'm going to check some of them out on You Tube - I don't have to remain clueless and stuck in the 80's!

Great photos! I was really lucky - my dad always got me free tickets (with great seats) to all the concerts. I had a whole box for Pink Floyd once - was that the best time! The box was huge! And the private bar in the box wasn't to shabby either.
WOW - I really like them. I looked at your link and kept looking at more. I really like them! I'm off to check out more of the groups on this thread. It's time for new CD's anyway - thanks! I guess I'm not as old as I thought - maybe just a little out of touch. You should start a "group of the week" thread to keep us older folks in tune! or in the tunes... Embarassed

Lord, I feel as old as dirt. The only people I've ever hear of on this thread are Pink Floyd and Joe Cocker.

Will ya still need me, will ya still feed me?

Yours sincerely, wasting away,
Biff

The Beatles! My first concert at the age of 6 or something. 3rd row!! My dad went backstage and met them. Do you know what he said to them? Don't play too loud boys! Can you believe that?!! He should have told the screaming girls to not be so loud. But he got me an autographed picture so I was a happy girl! Very Happy

Do you still have it Cathy? I would love to see it. My son likes the Beatles too..very much. I'm sorta on the fence..I really like some of their older, older stuff but as time passed I couldn't handle the music anymore.

*ducks*
