Hi Nuccia, yes on the death record the informant given wrong parent's names: really the first names was:
Donato the father
and
Filomena the mother (=Chelemann..)
Hugs,
suanj

Yes I believe so as well. My mother in law is from San Donato (near Sora)
and I believe you are right about the area where the family may have come from. Donato, Cesidio, - all VERY common names from the area. Lots of people from the area in Toronto as well as in Massachusetts, USA.

Possible names to look for - Donato (Danny) Cesare or Cesidio (Jesse)

Great find Nuccia! Romolo was supposed to be born in 1897.. maybe at time of his birth, the mother died...
I believe that Giulietta ( =little Giulia) and Marianna Tudda was really born in Cassino or in a place very close.. or who know''...

Nice! Ok, I will also keep looking. Sent a message to emmy whose family is from those parts. She is going to *try* to get to her FHC to see if there is anything on the microfilms she has.

Thank you so very much Suanj and nuccia, I think this was Marianna's husband. Very saddened to think that after returning to Italy she may have died or been abandoned. But I think my G. Grandmother her sister would have sent for her to return to the UK if she had been abandoned, I fear she must have died, how very sad to know. I hoped that she may have had surviving children and so forth. But I now feel that I may have a new lead with the son Romolo Pettrozi who married in the UK. Hopefully I will be able to find out what happened and uncover some of the mysteries that is if he had any children. He settled finally in Canada after marrying a third time, and here the family were thinking they had returned to Italy where they remained, lived and died. I am still no closer to finding out Marianna and Giuliettas mothers name. the fathers name is on Giuliettas (my G. Grandmother) married Certificate - Cesaro Tudda, but there is no mention of her mother Cesaro's wife.
How can I find this out??? If the records were destroyed because of the war is there no other means of finding out?
But I would like to say a big Thank you once again.
Angel

Hi Again,
I have just read the other info you have written, the name Tudda has been spelt Tudda or Tuda on some of the paperwork I have come across (marriage Certificate). Strange thing is all this time we believed that the Tuddas came from Castiglioni and now could be Cassino?? It would be good to know the truth.

Hi Angel, Vincenzo Petrozzi died in Canada:

Name: Vincenzo Petrozzo (Petrozzi)

Age: 59

Hi Suanj,
Ok! will search for her death records. Is it possible that if she and Giulietta were born in Sora or Cassino that church records would still be kept??

Hi Angel,
by LDS microfilms of Sora civil records .. well they are availables from 1809 to 1899
Registri dello stato civile di Sora (Frosinone), 1809-1899
Births, marriages, deaths, miscellaneous documents, marriage documents.
familysearch.org/searc...alog/14568
but Marianna if back in Sora must be died between 1903 to 1906.. so no helpful abt Marianna death search... I believe that Giulietta and Marianna was born in Cassino...
I found a TUDDA Cesare in Castellammare di Stabia ( Naples/Napoli, Campania region), seller or peddler, married at Antonia Chiumenta, abt a death act of 2 children:
Enrico Tudda died on 27 Feb 1876 -Castellammare di Stabia, at age of 34 days
familysearch.org/pal:/...2018603138

and Vincenzo Tudda died on 05 Mar 1876 Castellammare di Stabia at age of 8
familysearch.org/pal:/...2018603138

I found the birth act of Enrico Tudda, but the surname is spelled TUTA on the birth act and Cesare ( son of Tommaso) was 50 old in 1876

Enrico TUTA/TUDDA birth act #92
familysearch.org/pal:/...1032866808
so the surname spelling remain a mystery... just after 1 month from Enrico birth the surname becoming Tudda...

the above mentioned Cesare Tudda it is the only man with the similar name of Giulietta father.. I know not if can be helpful in some way..
regards,
suanj
