Hello everyone,

I'm new to this so please forgive my lack of research skills.

I'm looking for information on my distant relative: Leonardo Stasi All I know is he was Born: 1708 and Died in 1768. I'm trying to find any records to get an idea of what he may have done for a living or something like that.

There was rumors in my family that we have bloodlines to Napoleon Bonaparte and the House of Gramaldi.

My surname "DeBartolo" I'd like to find more about. All I know is that side of the family hails from Marano Marchesato.

Does anyone know of any links to records? (I've tried the conventional stuff like ancestry.com etc) with no luck.

I'm trying to discover what my family did back in the old country!

Thank you!

Franco

Some indexed Marano Marchesato Civil Records

Other info on Marano

www.rootsweb.ancestry....index.html

If you can give us some more specifics on your DeBartolo ancestors, we might be able to help further--names, years of birth, where they lived in the states, etc.

Ok! So update, it turns out the region he was from was not Marano, but Potenza Basilicata.

I am not sure what town specifically but I'd like to reach out or search for Church records in the area. Possibly to find his marriage certificate or something to find more information.

I know there are some "photographed" church books online, does anyone know of one for this region online? Preferably one that spans 1708 to 1800?
