Now that I see the schedule, your great grandfather was "removed" from the registry because he left the area. In other words, it notes that he is no longer living there but now living in New York.

I received my Dad's paper's as well and they have him listed as leaving Locri and moving to Malito on the day he married my mother. In actually, Dad was already in Canada. My mom married him by proxy (my father's brother stood up for him.)

If anyone can make out the name of Alfonsina's mother, I would appreciate it. I see Rachelle as the first name...not sure about the surname.

I see fu Antonio and fu Rachele Grande. Both her parents were deceased at the time of the child's birth. Another clue for you if you need to trace back. The were deceased prior to 184 ?Can't make out the date)

Wow, you are good! I tell you, this has surpassed my wildest dreams! I never dreamed that I would not only find a branch of this family...but that my cousin spent all day yesterday researching for me and copying documents...it is unreal.

You have me all excited now..I think I need to start transcribing my own records. I have so many and they are on CD's still.

These are personal files from Family record office (Anagrafe).
Anagrafe office was born way later (1930's) than Stato Civile office (1809)

I agree with Nuccia on her parent's names. I think Maria Alfonsina Crescenti was born on July 4, 1841 - I think that's a fancy 1? Here is my take on what the rest says:
Luogo di Nascita: Comune: Feroleto della Chiesa Prov. Reggio Calabria. I cannot make out what they wrote on the next line. "Coniugata con I_sarda, Nicola 2 May, 1819 Vedova di I_sarda 1886" Professione o condizione: Casalungo??? Cittadinanza: Italiana
Abilazione: via Garibaldi 107
That last line – the address – is that hers? If so, that is really exciting!

I doubt it is 1841, she could not get married to Nicola Insardà in 1819, before she was born!!!
It is more likely a 5. Alfonsina was born on July 4, 1845 and married very young when she was 14, on May 2, 1859.
