A friend at my FHC is trying to find out information about a family who came from Poland - the name of the place is 'Galub' (I'm not sure if she said they had returned to Poland)
The surname is Okroj.
Father's name Leon- occupation- watchman
Mother's name Apalonga ( m.n.Lange)
They had twins sons born in 1925 (one of the sons was a 'prisoner of war in Scotland and married a Scottish girl)(I have the names of the sons but as she said she thinks they are both still alive, not sure if I can post their names?)
They also had two daughters Regina and Watska. She would like to know how to trace their date of birth and if they married etc and if there is any other members of that family.

grateful for any help
Emmy

Ok, I've never done any Polish research before, although I know both Riccardo and Mikey have...as well as Nonna J. Maybe I'll give her a shout...

There is a man all the way back in the 1600's with his Polish genealogy at my FHC. If he is there Saturday, I can check with him. He knows a lot.

Emmy,
I and Raffaella (suanj) researched some long lost relatives of my friend from Poland, and we received a lot of informations and help from our Italian Embassy in Warsaw, and we found the relatives also thanks to them. I suggest you to contact your UK embassy in Poland, I'm sure they will help you.
Also I have an email of a polish man living in UK who helped me a lot for free

Edit~as per Riccardo, email sent privately~

I hope it helps, bye Riccardo
